How to install

Peel & Stick and Commercial Vinyl Installation Guide

Before Installation:

  1. Unroll & Acclimate: Remove wallpaper from packaging and unroll slightly. Let it sit unrolled for 48 hours to acclimate.

Tools Needed:

  • Spirit level
  • Pencil
  • Squeegee (included)
  • Masking tape
  • Ladder or step stool
  • Utility knife

Conditions:

  • Do not apply to walls painted within the last 14 days.
  • Ideal room temperature: 59°F to 83°F (15°C to 28°C).

Step 1: Wall Preparation

  1. Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and smooth. Use a mixture of 1/4 cup white vinegar and 4 cups warm water for cleaning. Avoid strong chemicals.
  2. Repair any wall imperfections. Use a light-colored primer or paint if needed.
  3. Remove electrical outlets and skirting boards as necessary.

Step 2: Wallpaper Preparation

  1. Check that you have the correct number of rolls with matching designs and colors. Ensure the rolls are in sequence.
  2. Unroll and flatten the wallpaper on a flat surface, design side up, for 60 to 90 minutes.

Step 3: Installation

  1. Draw a straight vertical line on the wall with a spirit level.
  2. Position the first wallpaper sheet along the line, using masking tape to secure it. Align the sheet 4 inches higher and to the left to account for wall imperfections.
  3. Peel off a 12-inch section of backing paper from the top. Press the sheet onto the wall and remove the rest of the backing while smoothing the sheet downward.
  4. If necessary, peel off and reposition any sections for a perfect application. Use a needle to remove air bubbles.
  5. Ensure subsequent sheets align without overlapping. Trim excess with a utility knife.

Care & Maintenance:

  • Clean with a damp cloth. Avoid washing and be cautious with grease or oil stains.

Wallpaper Removal:

  • Peel sheets from top to bottom at a 120-degree angle. Note that any damage or issues during removal are not covered.

Enjoy your newly designed space!
